When the oil and gas runs out and the oil field is dry, the oil rig is decommissioned. An aerial low altitude photo of a 40 somethng year old platform. What will happen to it is not known. It is the responsebilety of the owner and operator of the platform to remove the instalation. This platform has not been removed as required by Alaska Law. It is not the responsebilety of the Sate of Alaska to haveing to remove the decommissioned structure. It is not right to make the removal of an old rig the responsebilety of the Alaskan tax payer!
